At Canobi, we’re proud of our small-town roots here in Eastern Ontario, and we were honoured to be profiled for our innovation in the indoor farming industry in our local community paper, The Review, last week.
The piece takes a look at the journey of our founder Robin Vincent. It explores how his experiences applying his expertise in enterprise resource planning in various fields finally led him to a vision of using technology to produce healthy, local food at scale. Our Canobi AGRPTM platform is the product of that vision. And today we are working hard with partners to leverage that enabling technology and help indoor farmers and communities meet food security challenges in a sustainable way.

By the way, not to toot our local horn too much. But The Review, which serves Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec, took first place in the Best Community Newspaper Website category in the Ontario Community Newspaper Association annual competition in 2019.

The last couple of years have taught us that our Global Supply Chain has many weak links. Whether it’s in a greenhouse on the roof of a grocery store to produce micro-greens, in a container on a cow pasture to grow fodder, or in converted old industrial building to supply an inner-city neighbourhood with fresh produce, developing local and sustainable food sources will be key. Find out more about how Canobi’s AGRPTM platform is helping to power a revolution in smart farming here at home in Canada and around the world.
